The first issue of the Bellingham Business Journal was published in November 1992. On page 2 of that inaugural edition (then known as the Business Journal of Bellingham/Whatcom County), publisher Al Raines wrote that local business professionals needed “a publication that will keep them abreast of what’s going on in the business environment around them.” Today, the Bellingham Business Journal is just that: the paper where business leaders turn for vital news and commentary that identifies market trends and focuses on new business opportunities relevant to Whatcom County. The BBJ provides timely information to help your business grow, and caters to the area’s diverse mix of industries, including the high-tech, business, education and retail sectors.
