Local author Christina Dodd gave the Whatcom Literacy Council $5,060 to support literacy. This is the fourth year they have supported the Whatcom Literacy Council, and the funding will help support learner/tutor pairs for a year.

Western Men Against Violence is hosting Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Men’s March on April 17 at 11 a.m., beginning in Red Square at Western. The event culminates in the Boundary Bay Beer Garden.
Participants are encouraged to obtain pledges to support Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services (DVSAS).
