The Bellingham City Council will hold a special meeting at 12 p.m. Jan. 10.

The agenda includes a presentation by Caitac USA Corporation regarding rezones and development agreements. The rezones, approved by the Whatcom County Council in December, involve approximately 580 acres previously zoned Rural R10A (1 DU/10 acres). Approximately 571 acres were rezoned as Rural R5A (1 DU/5 acres) and approximately nine acres were rezoned as Tourist Commercial.

Caitac USA Corp. will give a presentation on the two rezones and related development agreements, and answer questions.

The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers, 210 Lottie Street.
