Bethany Christian Services has moved its Bellingham office from a 1,200-square-foot office at 4204 Meridian St., Suite 105 to a new 800-square-foot downtown space at 1031 N. State St. #108.
The faith-based nonprofit, which focuses on domestic and inter-country adoption as well as foster care and pregnancy counseling, has 70 offices in 30 states and 13 countries and is currently celebrating its 25th year working in Whatcom County.
Connie Schmotzer, office manager for Bethany Christian Services’ Bellingham office, said the nonprofit was looking for a way to save money and move closer to downtown.
“So we chose to downsize and really pinch our pennies and tighten our belts,” Schmotzer said. “Now we are close to downtown and it’s easier for our clients to get to.”
Bethany’s Bellingham office currently serves Whatcom, Skagit, Island and San Juan counties. For more information, call (360) 733-6042 or visit www.bethany.org/washington
