Bowen joins Whidbey Island Bank

George Bowen has been named senior vice president and commercial region manager in Whatcom County for Whidbey Island Bank.

Bowen brings more than 39 years of banking experience to his new position. He recently serves as chief lending officer at Peoples Bank in Bellingham, and prior to joining Peoples Bank, he was with Cupertino National Bank and Seafirst/Bank of America.

Bowen received a master’s and bachelor’s degree from Western Washington Univeristy and is also a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School.
