The Whatcom Women in Business will be awarding four $5,000 scholarships this year. The scholarships will be awarded to Whatcom County women entering higher education. The Northwest Clean Air Agency has named Mark Buford as the new executive director. Buford is a 15-year veteran of the agency. Bellingham’s Fanatik Bike Co. has continued its eight-year tradition, and teamed up with Vancouver, B.C. based Norco Bicycles to provide new bikes to the Bellingham Boy’s and Girl’s Club.
