Bellingham company Sullivan Plumbing has changed ownership. Owners Gary and Kelly Jensen sold their interests to longtime employee Don Dawson and his wife Tracy. Dawson has worked at Sullivan Plumbing for 17 years, and was general manager for the last 8 years. Sullivan Plumbing has been in Whatcom County since 1966.

The Whatcom Symphony Orchestra announced Gail Ridenour as the new executive director. Ridenour has a past playing in the orchestra. She also currently teaches music in the Bellingham School District. Ramona Abbott is currently serving as the interim executive director and will continue until Ridenour starts sometime in 2017.
