Kathleen Kitto, vice provost for research and dean of the Graduate School at Western Washington University, has plans to retire after WWU’s 2016-17 academic year. Kitto is professor of manufacturing engineering technology and served as chair of the Engineering Technology Department for seven years.

Lopez Island School will have renovations and additions to its 58, 500 square foot campus, costing about $7.6 million. Previously, he was a career director for more than 30 years, and has a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Oregon, Eugene.
