Lydia Place, an organization that assists women and children transitioning out of homelessness, holds its 14th annual garage sale from Aug. 10-11.
According to the nonprofit, the event is the “mother of all garage sales,” and one of the largest single-site garage sales in Whatcom County.
The sale takes place at Bellingham’s Sportsplex, 1225 Civic Field Way (across the street from Civic Field and Joe Martin Field). It is held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11.
A Friday “pre-sale” will take place from 8-9 a.m. on Aug. 10, for a $15 entry fee.
The event is a major fundraiser for Lydia Place, which provides safe shelter and residential programs for local women and children in need.
