John Thompson, Western Washington University’s marketing manager and assistant director of the Office of University Communications, is the new Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association board president.
Phil Humphries, a retired Boeing engineer and former board president, is now the vice president. Russ Wilson remains as treasurer and Lauren Bell remains as secretary.

Eppard receives historic preservation grant

Kiwanis Club succeeds in creating playground

Bellingham City Council approves Pickford contribution

Cargill donates to support hunger relief

Cargill, an international grain provider with a facility in Ferndale, has donated $10,000 to fight hunger in Ferndale and Lynden.
The funds were given to the Ferndale Food Bank and Project Hope as part of an effort to fight hunger through both long-term solutions and emergency grants.
