Brad Tuininga, former development director for the Bellingham Technical College Foundation, has joined North Cascades Institute in Sedro-Woolley as its new resource development director.
Tuininga is an alumnus of the Institute’s graduate program offered in partnership with Western Washington University.
Before his time with the BTC Foundation, he developed and launched what is now the Society for Wilderness Stewardship, the first professional society for wilderness stewardship in the U.S. He lives in Bellingham with his wife and two daughters.
North Cascades Institute is a nonprofit organization based in northwestern Washington state with the mission to conserve and restore northwest environments through education.
The organization, founded in 1986, operates the North Cascades Environmental Learning Center on Diablo Lake in partnership with Seattle City Light and the National Park Service.
