Want to expand your business to the U.S.?—Sept. 26

Crossross-border tax specialists host this seminar, titled “Doing Business in the U.S,” designed to help Canadian business owners as well as tax and legal advisers understand what it takes to expand their ventures across the border. It will cover topics such as: expanding business to include a U.S. location, selling products in the U.S. from Canada and starting a new venture in the U.S. as a Canadian.

The seminar will be at the Abercorn Inn from from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 26, in Richmond, British Columbia. Registration costs $25 (U.S. dollars), and will include a buffet breakfast. Participants can register at: http://expandtotheus.eventbrite.com/.

Learn how to invest in U.S. properties—Oct. 24

The event will cover topics such as: what to know before buying U.S. real estate, tax impacts of owning U.S. real estate, visas and other immigration requirements and financing opportunities.
