The Washington Engineering Institute, a Bellingham-based private engineering college, was recently authorized by the Washington Student Achievement Council to offer two new four-year programs.
The college now offers a bachelor of science in civil engineering technology and an associates of applied science in civil engineering technology. Classes for both programs—which begin Sept. 4—are scheduled during evenings, allowing students and faculty to maintain day jobs. Starting annual tuition is $5,400, according to the institute
The school was founded in November 2009. Its main campus is located in the Haskell Business Center, 1301 Fraser St., Suite A3 in Bellingham.
