A free workshop from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Washington State Department of Ecology covers recent changes to the Nationwide Permit program.
The event is from 9 a.m. to noon on July 25 at the Department of Transportation office, 3920 Airport Way in Bellingham.
Nationwide permits authorize various activities in American waters and wetlands. All Nationwide permits were reissued on March 19—some with changes.
The Army Corps has revised the permits’ general conditions and definitions, and has also issued two new permits for energy-related proposals.
Workshops are being held in various locations across Washington state in July and August.
