2020 Engineering gets involved in sustainable projects

2020 Engineering, located on 814 Dupont Street, Bellingham, is involved in design and sustainable projects throughout North America.

2020’s design work includes a rainwater harvesting system (potable and non-potable water supplies), composting system for toilets and urinals, graywater treatment and water reuse for micro-flush vacuum toilets and for irrigation of the indoor living wall that will grow strawberries, vegetables and herbs at a Living Building project in Sacramento, California. The non-potable rainwater supply will irrigate outdoor food garden areas, according to the press release.

The company is also assisting in designing an onsite water reuse system to recycle campus wastewater at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and working at the Vancouver International Airport in British Columbia to reduce the airport’s use of potable water.

2020 Engineering was also on the team to develop sustainable strategies at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan Campus in Kelowna, British Columbia.

2020 Engineering was established in 1995. 2020 staff have been involved with more than 500 sustainable development projects in the U.S. and Canada.
