Allegiant Air has turned down Snohomish County’s financial terms on a plan to build a passenger terminal at Everett’s Paine Field, meaning that a push for commercial air service to the city has stalled, for now.
The airline and the county had been in talks to build a terminal at Paine Field, which does not currently serve commercial traffic. But they disagreed over which side would build and operate the terminal, along with other details.
Everett would offer a second western Washington service location for Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air, which has substantial operations at the Bellingham International Airport.
