There will be a pre-tournament seminar on backgammon at 9 a.m. with Michael Cain, director of the Bellingham Backgammon Association and facilitator of the event.

Those interested can register online at, at Boundary Bay or at the WDRC on 13 Prospect St. Registration is $25 per person, $32 with a box lunch and an additional $5 for the pre-tournament seminar. Early registration is recommended.

All proceeds will benefit the WDRC, which works to educate the public in peaceful conflict resolution skills and provides trained mediators.
