Peoples Bank has hired Amy Baker as a real estate loan officer at its downtown Bellingham branch.
Baker began her career in banking as a teller and consumer loan specialist.
In recent years, she has found her passion serving the home loan needs of Whatcom County home owners and buyers. When she is not at the office or volunteering in the community, Amy enjoys travelling with her husband to scuba diving destinations worldwide.
“I love being the person who helps people achieve the dream in owning a home,” Baker said in a press release, Tthis is one of the largest purchases most people will ever make, and it is a great pleasure to see the smiles on their faces when it is complete.”
In her role as a loan officer, she will offer conventional, custom construction, FHA and VA financing options to customers preparing to purchase a new home, build or refinance their current mortgage.
“We are excited to have Amy join our already established home loan team in Bellingham,” said Jo Dallas, the bank’s vice president and real estate loan manager. “Her upbeat enthusiasm and dedication to serving customers personifies the Peoples Bank higher level of service.”
Peoples Bank is a locally owned and operated independent community bank with more than $1.2 billion in assets.
Headquartered in Lynden, the bank was founded in 1921 and operates 23 full-service branches throughout Washington.
