Bank of the Pacific is in the process of renovating a 4,300-square-foot office space in Sehome Village to be the new home for its residential loan department.
The space, which was once a Washington Mutual loan center, will house a staff of 22 and will serve as the loan processing and underwriting hub for the entire bank, said Drew Wilkens, senior vice president and manager of the bank’s real estate department. That department has simply outgrown its downtown space on Grand Avenue, he said.
“We will start moving in at the end of February and we plan to be open the first or second week of March,” Wilkens said.
Bank of the Pacific has 17 branches in Washington and Oregon. The new loan center at 226 36th St. will be the fifth location in Whatcom County. For more information, call Bank of the Pacific at (360) 715-8805 or visit www.bankofthepacific.com.
