The principals of two Bellingham accounting firms have partnered together to create a new firm, Schlichting Wixson PLLC, which will focus on local, as well as cross-border tax services.

Erin Schlichting, principal of Erin Schlichting CPA LLC, and Wendy Wixson, a former partner at VSH CPAs, formed the new company at the beginning of 2014.

The firm offers corporate and individual tax, accounting and consulting services to privately held businesses and their owners. It is located in downtown Bellingham in the Bellingham Towers. All of Schlichting’s employees are expected to join Schlichting Wixson PLLC.

Wixson specializes in U.S. tax implications for Canadians, including assisting individuals, family businesses, real-estate developers and investors, and foreign entertainers touring in the U.S. She has more than 20 years of experience.

Schlichting specializes in business, personal and estate taxation planning, as well as the preparation of financial statements. She has more than 25 years of experience.
