Philip J. Buri, a founding partner of Buri Funston Mumford PLLC in Bellingham, has been elected treasurer of the Washington State Bar Association for 2012-2013.
As treasurer, Buri will serve as chair of the association’s budget and audit committee, overseeing an annual budget of $19 million.
Buri currently sits on WSBA’s board of governors, where he represents Whatcom, Island, Skagit, San Juan and Snohomish counties.
Buri graduated from Harvard Law School and has practiced law for 24 years. He litigates civil trials and appeals, advises nonprofit boards and represents homeowner and condominium associations.
He also serves as a pro tem judge in Whatcom County District Court, Bellingham Municipal Court and Lummi Tribal Court.
