Bellingham audiologist offers "invisible" hearing aid

Dr. Jayna Williams of Advanced Audiology & Hearing Aid Services in Bellingham announced she is now one the first hearing-care specialists in the U.S. to offer a new hearing aid that fits inside the wearer’s ear canal, rather than outside the canal as is the case with traditional hearing devices.

The Intiga device, made by New Jersey-based Oticon Inc., can be custom fit to each patient’s ear.

According to Williams, the device allows users to talk on the phone or wear headphones without discomfort. Williams also offers a version of the device that is not custom-made and can be worn behind the ear.
