Bellingham conference to tackle trends in tech

A major technology conference is happening next week in Bellingham.

The Technology Alliance Group for Northwest Washington is holding its annual Tech Trends conference at Hotel Bellwether Oct. 20-21, to discuss some of the biggest topics in tech right now, as well as draw attention to Bellingham as an important tech hub between Seattle and Vancouver.

The conference will include lots of networking opportunities, as well as more than 25 speakers. Topics will include cyber security, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing and internet of things.

The lineup includes tech experts from throughout the Pacific Northwest, including David Veith of Amazon Web Services, Mark Anderson of Strategic News Service and Tim Wallach, the lead of the Cyber Task Force for the Seattle FBI.

There will also be breakout sessions designed for everyone in the company, including tech professionals, C-level, human resources and accounting and education.

It starts on Thursday, Oct. 20 with a peek at the progress on the Granary building on the downtown waterfront, followed by a tour of Bellingham tech companies and a party. The programs begin on Friday, Oct. 21.

Registration is $349 for member pricing and $449 for nonmembers. Packs of four and eight tickets are discounted.
