Following success from its first-ever winter market in January, the Bellingham Farmers Market will open again from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, at Depot Market Square on the corner of Railroad Avenue and Chestnut Street in downtown Bellingham.
Caprice Teske, market director, said the January market featured more than 30 vendors with a wide range of offerings: produce, eggs, cheese and other dairy products, meats, tulips, baked good, teas and coffees, craft works, ready-to-eat food and more. Teske is confident the second winter market of 2013—the third and final winter market will be held on March 16—will be just as successful.
“If the weather continues to be mild, we expect that even more farmers will be able to bring in more local produce,” she said, in a press release.
Bellingham Farmers Market’s regular season begins in April and runs until December.
