The Bellingham Health Support Center will host its annual Festival of Trees fundraiser to support nearly two dozen nonprofits in Whatcom County.
The Winter Wonderland Walk, which is free to the public, will be held from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1.
A gala dinner and silent auction will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 1.
The events will be held at The Leopold Crystal Ballroom, located at 1224 Cornwall Ave. in downtown Bellingham.
For more than 20 years, local designers have created an array of beautiful trees at their own expense to be auctioned off at the gala dinner.
One of this year’s trees will feature handmade ornaments to honor a local artist and another will be covered in collectable cars and trucks.
Tickets to the event cost $50.
The Festival of Trees raises funds for the 22 support groups that make-up the Bellingham Health Support Center. The organization’s members include the National Alliance on Mental Illness, Post Polio Support, United Blind of Whatcom County and Kids Council Northwest.
