The city of Bellingham is moving its Parking Services office into the permit center inside City Hall from its current location at 1300 Carolina St. The office will move on Oct. 5.

Clark Williams, superintendent of traffic for the city of Bellingham, said bringing parking services into the permit center will help to consolidate the city’s permit operation.

“We are trying to get the whole ‘one-stop shopping’ thing down so our customers only have to come to one location for all their permit needs,” Williams said.

Williams also said having the additional personnel on hand will make it easier for the department to cover the front desk in cases of sick leave and vacations.
