Two Bellingham residents receive Goodwill awards

Tatayana Karadobrii received Goodwill’s Outstanding Achievement Award for her persistence and dedication in studying to become a licensed practical nurse. While working full-time jobs, she studied English, reading, writing and computers at Goodwill and then enrolled in a nursing program at Bellingham Technical College. After several years of hard work, she recently passed her licensing exam and now works as a nurse at an assisted living center in Bellingham.

Ron Fuoco accepted an H. Martin Smith Jr. Scholarship Award. The scholarship program was established to honor the memory of H. Martin Smith Jr., a long-time member of the Goodwill board of directors, who was instrumental in raising the profile of Goodwill in the community and was dedicated to expanding the programs in order to help serve more people. The award was created in December of 2003.
