Bellingham Whole Foods will be full-store model, not value line

The Whole Foods Market coming to Bellingham in 2016 will be a full-store model, and not the value model the company is launching.

“The Bellingham store will not be that new model,” Whole Foods spokesperson Susan Livingston said in a phone interview.

A Whole Foods Market press release describes the new line of stores, called 365 by Whole Foods Market, as streamlined and value-focused, with innovative technology and a carefully curated product mix.

The products available in 365 by Whole Foods Market will also be available in the full stores for the same price, Livingston said.

Whole Foods plans to open the Bellingham store, at the former The Market at Lakeway space at 1030 Lakeway Drive, in June 2016, she said.

“I don’t know when the ground breaking will occur, but we’re planning to open next June,” Livingston said.
