Big Brothers Big Sisters NW celebrates July 4 on top of downtown Bellingham Herald Building

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Washington hosts a July 4 celebration with food, drinks and live music along with a prime spot to see the Bellingham fireworks display across the water at Zuanich Point Park.

The event, which starts at 8 p.m., takes place on top of the Herald Building on State Street in downtown Bellingham.

Tickets cost $10—children 12 and under get in free. Proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters NW and RE Sources for Sustainable Communities.

Former Bellingham mayor Dan Pike, who is also a Big Brothers Big Sisters NW board member, organized the celebration to benefit children and promote a sustainable community.

“By bringing together environmental and social justice, I want this event to represent the collaborative spirit that makes Bellingham so special,” Pike said, in a press release.

Tickets can be bought from either Big Brothers Big Sisters NW or RE Sources.
