Book Fare Café, which is located upstairs in Village Books, will hold a grand opening to celebrate new ownership on Monday, March 21. The event will include free food and live music throughout the day.
Charles Claassen, the new owner, has 20 years of experience running professional kitchens and was previously the chef and foodservice manager at the North Cascades Institute’s Environmental Learning Center.
The café’s menu is based on seasonal and local ingredients. The café features light fare including sandwiches, soups, salads, scratch-baked goods, gluten-free treats, wine, beer, coffee and tea.
