Brunk joins medical staff at Interfaith Community Health Center

Dr. Donald Brunk has joined the medical staff at Interfaith Community Health Center and is currently accepting new pediatric and adult patients.

He will begin seeing patients Monday, June 16.

Brunk earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia, and completed a residency in family medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical School’s Shadyside Family Health Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is board certified in family medicine.

Brunk comes to Bellingham from Shiprock, New Mexico, where he has been a staff physician at the Northern Navajo Medical Center since 1989. In addition to providing patient care, he has served on the medical center’s utilization review and pharmacy and therapeutics committees, has been the director and assistant director of the medical center’s emergency services department, and has provided primary care to inmates and staff at the Shiprock jail.
