Business Bank elects two new members to board of directors

Chet T. Lackey and Jay Duffy were recently elected to Business Bank’s board of directors. Business Bank is a community bank with locations in Skagit and Whatcom counties.

Lackey works as an attorney with Belcher Swanson Law Firm, P.L.L.C. in Bellingham. He specializes in general law and was appointed attorney and counselor at law in November 1975. He graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in history and from the University of Puget Sound Law School with a juris doctorate.

Duffy is an owner and president of JJMD, Inc. and Bob’s Burgers & Brew in Burlington, Tulalip and Everett. He graduated from Pacific Lutheran University and the University of Washington with a degree in accounting. He is also a graduate of Mount Vernon High School.

“Jay and Chet each bring a wealth of experience, diverse business background, and local connections to the bank’s board of directors. They bring additional strength to our board at a key time as we prepare for a new capital raise in 2012. With their help we will take Business Bank to an even higher level of success,” said president and CEO Mike Cann in a press release.
