Cascade DAFO has been awarded the Cascade Vocational Services Employer of the Quarter title for its work in employing people with disabilities. Ferndale-based Cascade DAFO manufactures dynamic orthoses for children and adults with special needs.

Cascade DAFO hired a Ferndale High School graduate named Charity in 2009. She was previously a customer of Cascade DAFO, as she has been wearing braces from them to help her walk since childhood. She now works to produce ways for children to customize their orthoses.
