Cascara Center celebrates first year, adds Poynter

The Bellingham Business Journal

The Cascara Center, which provides mental health services to children, adolescents and families, celebrated its first anniversary of business Sept. 1, 2009.

The group practice of Dr. Anne Wright, Michaela Petz and Barbara Overson now offers biofeedback and expanded evaluation services.

Additionally, Cascara has welcomed Licensed Mental Health Counselor Keith Poynter to the team. Poynter has worked in the mental health field for the past 12 years as a wilderness instructor and counselor to “at-risk” youth.

Poynter serves clients who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, grief/loss, poor school performance, negative peer and family relations, severe behavioral problems, as well as issues related to trauma and substance abuse.

Wright completed training in neuropsychological assessment and now offers more comprehensive assessments of learning, memory and attention for school-aged youth. Cascara Center is accepting new clients and can be reached at (360) 647-8011 or online at www.cascaracenter.com.
