The Catholic Community Services (CCS) Recovery Center, which is currently located at 2806 Douglas Ave., will be moving to the former RBC Wealth Management office at 515 Lakeway Drive in late December.

Director of operations Donna Wells said she hopes to complete the move between Christmas and New Year’s Day. The recovery center is moving because their current space was sold in October to the Whatcom Hospice Foundation to be a new 12-bed hospice house.

The new space on Lakeway is about the same size as the current facility, but it utilizes the space better and is closer to downtown, Wells said. CCS is in the process of purchasing the building.
