Chase nonprofit grant contest includes Bellingham groups

Thirty-two Bellingham-area nonprofit groups are in the running for the 2012 Chase Community Giving Program, which will allocate $5 million in grants to nearly 200 organizations based on votes by Facebook users and the bank’s online customers.

The voting period, which began Sept. 6, ends on Wednesday, Sept. 19.

Votes can be made on Facebook or at the bank’s website (Chase customers only).
