Chazzzam!: New eco-friendly graphic design and sign shop opens on Ohio Street

Chazzzam Signs & Graphics, a sign shop co-owned by brothers Chas and Sam Malich along with Jerry Spraggins, has opened in Bellingham.

The company offers clients on-site graphic design services. In addition to traditional signage such as banners, awnings, A-frames and real estate signs, Chazzzam produces custom vehicle wraps, interior artwork, trade show displays and large-format digital print projects, including wall murals and window graphics.

“We’re more than just a sign shop,” Spraggins said, in an April 10 press release. “We strive to be Bellingham’s visual communication hub.”

The shop’s storefront is at 420 Ohio St. Chazzzam will serve businesses, homeowners, schools and institutions.

“We’re visual communication experts,” Chas Malich said. “We help clients grow their brand creatively and effectively.”

A key component of the company’s capabilities is its state-of-the-art printer.

Chazzzam uses the new Designjet L26500 printer, manufactured by Hewlett-Packard Co.

The printer eliminates volatile organic compound emissions, which can be harmful to customers and employees. It also uses liquid latex, allowing Chazzzam’s print products to be recycled.

“We love this community and our eco-friendly printer is just one way we can help keep it beautiful,” Sam Malich said. “Our innovative and fresh approach to the industry is exactly what this town needs.”

Chazzzam is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
