Childcare center recognizes contributors

The Bellingham Business Journal

The Bellingham Childcare and Learning Center recently received a $1,000 grant from the Rotary Club of Bellingham to purchase carpeting for a classroom. The Whatcom Educational Credit Union donated $500 to help purchase blackout blinds for a toddler classroom while the Norcliffe Foundation and Bank of America Charitable Foundation awarded $3,000 and $2,500 respectively to provide early learning services for low-income families in Whatcom County.

The center provides care and education for 72 children daily. Children can be as young as one month old and as old as five years, and 50 percent of those 72 spots are reserved for children from families in need.
