Chuckanut Brewery to host appliance art show

The Bellingham Business Journal

May 2 to June 4, the Chuckanut Brewery will be displaying art pieces made with appliance parts. Approximately 30 artists are participating in the show, which is meant to emphasize the importance of reusing materials and creating a sustainable economy.

On June 4, the pieces will be auctioned off at the second annual Appliance Art Revival. The auction is sponsored by the nonprofit Appliance Depot and functions as a fundraiser for its job training program. The Revival will have other reuse activities and feature live music from the bands Hoss and The Whiskey Wailers.

Artists who want to submit pieces must do so by April 30 and should call (360) 527-2646 for more information. Appliance parts are available for free to artists at the Appliance Depot, located at 802 Marine Drive.
