The Washington Beer Awards is a craft beer competition designed specifically to support Washington’s professional brewers. More than 450 beers were entered in the competition by 75 Washington breweries.

All beers entered must have been both brewed and made commercially available in the state of Washington. Entries were evaluated in a blind format using the Brewers Association Style Guidelines by panels of trained beer judges who awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals for each category.

Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen, located at 601 West Holly St, was awarded the National Small Brewpub/Brewer of the Year 2009 and National Small Brewery/Brewer of the Year 2011 at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado.
