Bellingham officials are accepting new applications for local projects addressing housing and community development needs to meet challenges of people who are homeless or live on low income.
The city anticipates allocating more than $752,000 to nonprofits and public agencies for the delivery of housing, human and social services. More than $4 million is available to commit to affordable housing preservation and development, or for certain nonprofit community facilities that primarily provide services to low-income people.
Funds can be awarded to nonprofit organizations, other public agencies, and for some housing development, private for-profit businesses. More information is available online.
The deadline for applications is March 10.
