The city of Bellingham is seeking new members for several citizen committees that advise the city on variety topics, including design standards, land use and tourism grants.
Some vacancies have additional requirements, such as professional memberships, expertise in particular areas or residence in certain neighborhoods.
Community members also are invited to submit applications for advisory committees they might be interested in serving on in the future, even if no vacancy currently exists.
Candidates for open positions must be current Washington state residents, and have been so for at least three years.
Unless otherwise specified, candidates must presently live within Bellingham city limits and have done so for at least two years, and be registered voters and U.S. citizens.
Anyone with an interest in serving can pick up an application from the reception desk at Bellingham City Hall, 210 Lottie St., or print one from the Board and Commission page of the city’s website.
