CityView Mortgage, a locally owned home mortgage company located downtown at 119 N. Commercial St. #185, is closing July 31. 

Owner Deborah L. Cook said the combination of market fluctuations and the cost of running an office led her to close CityView. Cook will continue doing business, however, by joining Security First Mortgage.

“I’ve been doing this for so long and I didn’t want to do anything else and I didn’t want to go corporate,” Cook said about her transition to Security First. 

Security First Mortgage has been in Bellingham for 23 years and is a locally owned mortgage company located at 2900 Meridian St.
