The Bellingham Blazers junior hockey team has added Rod Collins to its coaching staff for the upcoming 2013-2014 season.
The Blazers are less than one month from their first home game of the season on Oct. 4 at the Bellingham Sportsplex.
Collins has coached throughout the U.S. and Canada. He brings more than 30 years’ experience to the Blazers.
He has previously coached at Shattuck-St. Mary’s School in Faribault, Minn., and Athol Murray College of Notre Dame in Wilcox, Saskatchewan.
“Rod brings a wealth of knowledge to our program both on and off the ice. He has coached so many great players playing junior, college or even professionally. It will be interesting to see the affect he has on our young team, which has such lofty goals after the success of last season,” said head coach Mark Collins, in a news release.
