Colophon Café appoints new director of sustainability

The Colophon Café in historic Fairhaven has added Carly Hubbard as the new director of sustainability programs.

Hubbard plans to introduce an incentive program to encourage staff and public involvement in Whatcom Smart Trips, which is a program that promotes carbon footprint reduction via alternative forms of transportation.

She also plans to incorporate more locally grown and produced food into the menu and forge new partnerships with area farmers and sustainable organizations.
