Leaders of the Whatcom Futures project are seeking public comment on their development of a long-term vision for the the future of Whatcom County’s economic development, growth and community health.

The project, lead by the Northwest Economic Council, with support from the Whatcom Community Foundation, is in its final draft stages.

The 14 vision statements included in the Whatcom Futures draft outline ideas and aspirations for ensuring Whatcom County is a healthy and prosperous community that provides access to opportunities for all. Also included are action steps and metrics to track for evaluation, measure success and establish the need for continued collaboration.
