The Community Food Co-op has hired Adrienne Battis as its marketing and outreach manager.

Battis returns to Bellingham after working at Colorado State University and in community and program development for the city of Fort Collins, Colo.

“I am excited to be working with the Community Food Co-op in telling the amazing story of not just great food but also the commitment to community that lies within the core values of this locally owned business” Battis said in an April 20 press release.

Battis has a master’s degree in organizational psychology and sustainable business management.

She has a long history of working with nonprofit Whatcom County organizations on issues such as health, conflict resolution, poverty reduction and community educations.
