Construction starts on Orca building in Fairhaven

Construction has started on a new commercial building at 12th Street and Mill Avenue, south of the Fairhaven Public Library.

The all-brick, two-story, 14,000 square foot building will be a mix of retail and food service on the ground floor and office space on the second floor. The building will feature a metal sculpture of an orca whale on the outside of the building, and an outside public plaza area. The architect of the building is David Christensen, of Christensen Design Management in Bellingham. The owner is Neal Robinson of RK Enterprises. The building is expected to be complete in the spring of 2017. For leasing information, call David Moody at 360-739-1735.
