Whatcom County Executive Jack Louws will be the featured speaker at the next Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce and Industry speaker series event at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, at the Hampton Inn at 3985 Bennett Drive in Bellingham.
Louws will give a “State of the County” address during the event. The cost to attend is $25 for chamber members; $35 for nonmembers.
“I will highlight, particularly, some updates on the financing of the law and justice aspects of our public service,” Louws said, in an event annoucement. “I will allow a large portion of the time allotted to answering questions from the floor, and I look forward to having a good dialog with the attendees.”
More information about reservations can be found by contacting the chamber at 360-734-1330.
The next chamber speaker series event will feature Richard A. Davis III of Chmelik, Sitkin & Davis Attorneys at Law, who will speak about the marijuana decriminalization in the workplace. That event will be held at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, also at the Hampton Inn.
