The Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center’s (WDRC) 4th annual “Compete for a Cause” Cribbage Tournament was held Sept. 12th in the Boundary Bay Brewery beer garden and raised more than $2,000 for the center’s youth program.
The tournament was sold out with more than 64 competitors. Paul Sarvasy, a doctor in Bellingham and first time competitor, took first place and was awarded a $100 gift certificate to the Bellwether Harborside Bistro. Second place went to Wesley Withrow, a four-time returning player.
The WDRC is a nonprofit dedicated to educating and training the public in peaceful conflict resolution skills, and providing trained mediators to empower the community to resolve conflicts in equitable and cooperative ways.
